Join ViClarity for a hands-on SARs & CTRs workshop, plus timely compliance insights on year-end preparedness, credit union name changes, NCUA deregulation and AI fraud risks.
SARs & CTRs: Let's Work Through It!
Webinar: September 23, 2026 | 2 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. CT
SARs and CTRs are essential to an effective BSA program — but knowing when to file, what to include, and how to get the details right can be challenging. And when reporting errors can lead to examiner criticism, there’s little room for guesswork. So, let’s roll up our sleeves and work through it together.
Join ViClarity Compliance Specialists Farren Home-Lovell and Tyler Draffan for an interactive, scenario-based workshop designed to take BSA reporting out of the textbook and into the real world. Forget the typical “sit back and listen” webinar. You’ll work through realistic scenarios, test your knowledge, compare approaches, and discuss what examiners are looking for. Register here now.

August 2026 - Q&A: End of Year Preparedness
At ViClarity, we’re committed to providing our credit union clients with practical regulatory guidance that can be used to assess and improve their practices. Around this time every year, we have an influx of credit unions reviewing their policies and procedures. This season is usually a slower time for the industry. Considering this and the program changes allowed by the NCUA’s deregulation efforts, we wanted to showcase some examples of the nuances we’re seeing credit unions exploring. We recommend performing this review at or before Q3, allowing ample time to implement changes and be ready for year-end testing. Be sure to contact us through your league’s compliance hotline for any state-specific details! Read the full Q&A here.

Name Changes for Credit Unions: Strategic, Regulatory & Legal Considerations
A credit union's name is one of its most valuable assets. It reflects the institution's brand, mission, field of membership, community presence, and reputation. Whether driven by expansion, modernization, geographic growth, charter evolution, or strategic repositioning, a name change is far more than a marketing exercise. It requires thoughtful consideration of regulatory requirements, trademark implications, operational impacts and member communications. Click here for the full story.

NCUA Publishes First Round of Finalized Proposals as Part of Its Deregulation Project
The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) has finalized several proposals as part of its ongoing Deregulation Project. The NCUA’s Deregulation Project is a “multi-year initiative to review, streamline, and modernize the agency’s regulatory framework.” Click here to read on.

U.S. Senate Committee Publishes Report Showing Elderly Populations More Susceptible to AI Fraud
Fraud, the financial services industry’s least favorite “f” word, is being furthered by the advent of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Perhaps because of its adaptability, AI has become a fraudster’s favorite tool, targeting many different population sectors at once. However, according to a special report published by the U.S. Senate Committee on Aging, elderly individuals are the most vulnerable to targeted AI fraud scams. Read on now.
