United Savings Credit Union Announces Promotions

Exciting promotions at United Savings Credit Union - meet Laura Hausmann and Heidi Peterson as they step into their new roles.

Laura Hausmann

United Savings Credit Union (USCU) is pleased to announce the promotions of two outstanding professionals who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to their members and the organization.

Effective January 1, 2025, Laura Hausmann assumed the role of Branch Manager at USCU’s Dilworth office. She will gradually take on many of the responsibilities currently held by Bonnie Mohr, VP of USCU, as Bonnie prepares for her well-earned retirement.

Laura has been an integral part of United Savings Credit Union since March 2002, beginning her career on the front lines before moving into the loan department. Over the past two decades, she has gained extensive experience in consumer lending, back-office operations, collections, and marketing. Her expertise and leadership skills have positioned her well for this new role.

Laura is a graduate of Concordia College in Moorhead, earning her degree in Business and Public Relations/Advertising in December 2001. She is currently completing her third year of the CUNA Management School program and will receive her Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE) designation upon completion in June 2025. Additionally, Laura was honored as the Dakota Credit Union Association Professional of the Year in 2023. Her experience and dedication make her an excellent fit to lead the Dilworth branch into the future.

Heidi Peterson

​Also effective January 1, 2025, Heidi Peterson stepped into the role of Vice President of Business Services. In this capacity, she will lead in expanding United Savings Credit Union’s business relationships and services within our market areas.

Heidi joined United Savings in October 2012, starting as a front-line Customer Service Representative. In 2015, she transitioned into the Consumer Lending department after earning her Professional Certification from the University of Lending. She later advanced to Business Services Representative in January 2022, where she has played a pivotal role in fostering relationships with our business members. In July 2024, Heidi completed her third year of Business Lending School and earned her CUBLP certification.

Beyond her business services expertise, Heidi actively contributes to various credit union functions, including general accounting, insurance processing, training, and administrative tasks. Her well-rounded experience and passion for financial services will help drive the continued growth and success of United Savings Credit Union’s business division.
