by Lindsey Hefta, Director of Marketing Our state-wide awareness program, SWAP, is off to a great start for this year! With some changes to where we have placed media, as well as our partnership with MCUL for assets, we are seeing some fantastic numbers to kick off Q1! With our digital ad placement campaign for the month of June in markets where we have contributing credit unions, we have already surpassed 86,000 display impressions and 25,000 video impressions! But even more impressive: The click-through rates! With an industry average of just .08%, we are blowing clicks out of the water with 0.44% and 0.48% averages respectively (display & video). Overall, the highest click-through rates are in the Watertown, SD, Yankton, SD, and Bismarck, ND communities and their surrounding areas celebrating between 0.62% and 2.14% for display ads; and Eagle Butte, SD, and Bowman, ND areas with highs of 4.35% - 6.50% click-throughs! What does that mean for you, our SWAP contributors?! Click-throughs are key for measuring success of online campaigns. This metric shows just how many people in a target audience are actually clicking on the “Try A Credit Union” ads. These high click-through numbers are showing that our campaign is effectively capturing our audience, encouraging engagement, providing validation in our marketing tactics including which ads may be doing better/worse than others, and perhaps most importantly – getting them to tryacreditunion.com where they can 1) learn what a credit union is and what it has to offer; and 2) find local credit unions near them to join!
Along with these amazing numbers, don’t forget that new 2024 assets from MCUL are available. If you are a contributing member and you are not already utilizing the new collateral pieces, please contact me for more information on how to get your hands on the Try A Credit Union campaign materials to utilize within your own credit union! And remember – if you spot one of our digital or stationary billboards, or catch a video on Gas Station TV, be sure to snap a picture and share. You could win some great DakCU swag!
