The Southeast 605 Chapter of Credit Unions is excited to offer its educational scholarship program to credit union professionals across South Dakota. Earlier this year, the Chapter launched the initiative to help support professional development within the credit union movement, awarding a $2,000 scholarship to one deserving applicant.
The 2024 recipient, Dane Dornbusch with Dakotaland Federal Credit Union, used his scholarship to attend America’s Credit Unions’ Business Lending School, furthering his expertise and strengthening his credit union’s ability to serve members. The scholarship opportunity is open to employees from all South Dakota credit unions. The $2,000 award can be applied toward any credit union-specific educational opportunity, including conferences, professional development schools, or training programs. To apply, candidates must submit a resume and a 500-word essay describing their commitment to the credit union movement and explaining why they are the ideal candidate to receive this scholarship. Please include details about the continued education opportunity you are pursuing and why it is important to your professional growth. Chapter leaders are sharing this news with credit union executives first to ensure senior leadership teams are aware of the opportunity and can encourage eligible staff to apply. Applications are due by December 31, 2025. For more information and to apply, please contact Tiffany Mutchler. Comments are closed.
