Alloya Corporate Federal Credit Union’s “10 for 10 for 10” program chose ten charities nominated by credit unions, and we have a South Dakota winner!
In honor of its tenth anniversary, Alloya Corporate Federal Credit Union recently launched a “10 for 10 for 10” program in which the corporate donated $10,000 to 10 charities over 10 business days.  The charities were chosen through a nomination and selection process driven by Alloya’s credit union membership.  In total, Alloya received 101 nominations over the 10-day nomination period.

We are thrilled to report that the 9th winner was REALTORS for Kids, nominated by Northern Hills Federal Credit Union in Sturgis, S.D.

Formed in 2003 by a group of individuals from the Northern Black Hills Association of REALTORS, REALTORS for Kids is a non-profit corporation with a mission to distribute funds to children in the Northern Black Hills community to be used for the betterment of children's lives.  The organization assists children that are victims of abuse, neglect or abandonment; have either a temporary or ongoing medical condition that requires money beyond what the child's primary caregivers are able to provide; or wish to participate in school and community programs and do not have the funds to do so.

Northern Hills FCU has been an active supporter of REALTORS for Kids.  “REALTORS for Kids is always there! They have raised and donated in excess of $1 million to our local children over their 18 years of service,” said Melody Fallon, vice president of lending at Northern Hills Federal Credit Union.

The 10 winning charities were revealed through a daily video announcement on Alloya’s website and a media partnership with CUToday, which published an article with the latest winner in each morning’s e-newsletter.
Other winners included: PARC (A ServiceSource Affiliate), nominated by Horizon Utah Federal Credit Union in Farmington, UT; Crouse Health Foundation, nominated by Crouse Federal Credit Union in Syracuse, NY; Lake Trust Foundation, nominated by Lake Trust Credit Union in Brighton, MI; Wounded Warrior Project®, nominated by Atlantic City Federal Credit Union in Lander, WY; Best Buddies International, nominated by Prairieland Federal Credit Union in Normal, IL; Red Wing Youth Outreach, nominated by Red Wing Credit Union in Red Wing, MN; Finn Foundation Incorporated, nominated by Michigan Educational Credit Union in Plymouth, MI; Brighter Tomorrows, Inc., nominated by Mayo Employees Federal Credit Union in Rochester, MN; and Hilltop Neighborhood House, Inc., nominated by REGIONAL Federal Credit Union in Hammond, IN.

All donations were made in the name of the credit union who nominated the winning charity. Learn more about each winning charity and credit union, visit alloyacorp.org/winyour10.
