​Highlights to look forward to at GAC as well as winners announced from this year's Holiday Sweepstakes.

GAC 2025
Mark your calendars! The Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) is happening March 2–6, 2025, in Washington, D.C. This isn’t just any conference – it’s the BIGGEST event where credit union leaders and advocates come together from across the U.S. come together to make an impact. After my experience last year, I can attest that it is a wonderful mix of advocacy, networking, and, of course, inspiring speakers who drive the credit union movement forward.

Major Highlights

• Speakers:
  • ​Coach K is speaking! Yes, Coach K! As someone who grew up in a basketball family, I’m especially excited to hear from Mike Krzyzewski, the legendary Duke basketball coach. Known for his leadership strategies that built championship teams, his insights on teamwork and being resilient are something I’m looking forward too!
  • Carla Harris, Wall Street powerhouse, will share her wisdom on intentional leadership and driving success. Her “Carla’s Pearls” are not to be missed, and I’m excited to take away some notes from this session.
• Hill Hikes:
  • This year, the Hill visits will be crucial. Many members of our delegations in North and South Dakota hold leadership positions, giving us a unique opportunity to ensure credit union priorities are heard loud and clear at the highest levels. This is our chance to advocate directly and make a real impact for the people we serve.
• Group Dinner at 1789 Restaurant:
  • And, of course, we can’t forget our wonderful group dinner at the 1789 Restaurant in Georgetown. This group dinner for the Dakotas group is always a highlight of the trip—great food and even better company!
