The Dakota Credit Union Association (DakCU) Board of Directors would like to inform our members that Jeff Olson has resigned as President/CEO, effective October 1, 2025. We are grateful for Jeff’s years of dedicated leadership and his many contributions to strengthening credit unions across the Dakotas. We wish him every success in his future endeavors.
To ensure a smooth transition, DakCU Senior Vice President and Chief Officer Partnerships & Engagement, George McDonald, has been appointed as Interim President/CEO. George is a valued member of the DakCU team, and the Board is confident in his ability to lead the association while we conduct a national search for the next President/CEO with D. Hilton Associates. All DakCU programs, meetings, and events will continue as scheduled. This includes the CEO Town Hall today, October 7, 2025 at 3pm. While Scott Simpson, incoming President and CEO for America’s Credit Unions, will no longer be joining us, the CEO Town Hall will provide an important opportunity for members to share input on the qualities and priorities you want to see in the next DakCU President/CEO. The session will also discuss the future direction of DakCU, including timelines and next steps. We encourage all credit union CEOs to come prepared with questions and feedback. We thank you for your support and understanding as we continue working to make DakCU the strongest association it can be. Your engagement and input remain vital to our mission of serving credit unions across the Dakotas. For questions or additional information, members may reach out to any of our Board members:
