9/12/2024

Nine Dakota credit unions joined Alloya in Nashville; Myles Burnham featured on CU Broadcast; and upcoming Economic & Investment Conference in October!
Alloya Corporate Federal Credit Union celebrated the tenth anniversary of its Credit Union Leadership Symposium in Nashville, Tennessee recently, with a record showing of 268 professionals representing 164 credit unions and 26 states, including nine credit unions from South Dakota: Aspen FCU; Dakota Rail Line FCU; Dakotaland FCU; Healthcare Plus FCU; M-O FCU; Northern Hills FCU; Oahe FCU; Sentinel FCU; and Service First FCU.

In fact, one Dakota attendee, Myles Burnham, Executive Vice President from Aspen FCU, was interviewed during the event on CU Broadcast! Myles is a repeat attendee who is on track with leadership training in conjunction with the credit union’s succession plan.

“We feel such gratitude for the tremendous support we have received from our credit union attendees over the last 10 years of the Leadership Symposium, and this year especially,” reflected Tim Bruculere, Senior Vice President of Membership at Alloya. “That support is what enables us to continue building on the event to make it better and better every year, and we look forward to continuing that tradition for another 10+ years to come!”

The 2024 Symposium featured an impressive lineup of speakers, including two-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback, five-time NFL MVP and Pro Football Hall of Famer Peyton Manning as the opening keynote. Additional keynotes included Sam Rad, Futurist, Anthropologist and Entrepreneur; and Chip Eichelberger, Peak Performance, Motivation and Wellness Strategist. Attendees also heard from industry experts and several Alloya professionals on hot topics like the economy, capital markets, faster payments, the upcoming elections and community engagement.

Complementing the education, the Symposium included outings and networking opportunities at the Country Music Hall of Fame, where attendees were treated to a private concert by country music duo LOCASH, and at SkyDeck on Broadway, where Alloya’s Football Night made its return for the NFL opening game.

“Thank you to everyone who took the time to join us at the Symposium and we look forward to welcoming you back for more education, networking and leadership inspiration as we take the show on the road to Boston next year,” Bruculere concluded.

The 2025 Credit Union Leadership Symposium will take place September 3-5 in Boston, MA.
