This has been a crazy year!  Between the pandemic, new legislation in the Dakotas legalizing cannabis, and the ever-present challenges of strategic planning and leadership development, our members have requested timely and relevant information that they can use to enhance their credit unions performance.  That is why this year’s Summit Breakout Sessions are focusing on topics that are front of mind right now and will continue to be in the foreseeable future. 
 
A lot of legislative changes are now in place regarding cannabis in both states.  Dealing with the expected changes that financial institutions will face to provide a legal and safe way to serve the cannabis industry has become a real hot button issue.  That is why we are bringing Frank Drake – Credit Union Law Expert to present “Reefer Madness Meets Modern Business: Credit Unions and the Rise of Cannabis Banking.”  He will also present “Fool Proof Board of Directors” – information that board members need to do the job, follow the law, and avoid the risk of personal liability.
