Due to an upcoming retirement in 2025, an incredible opportunity awaits for a motivated credit union executive in western North Dakota. 

Dakota West Credit Union, a member-owned financial cooperative dedicated to providing exceptional financial services is seeking its next CEO, as the incumbent will be retiring in June of 2025. With eight locations across western North Dakota, we proudly manage $310 million in assets and serve 7,200 members. Our mission is to build trusted relationships and create member value. We deliver on our vision by providing essential financial services in the communities we serve that promote agriculture and commerce while improving the quality of our members’ lives. Each of our branches, team members and members themselves help grow Dakota West with an exceptional commitment to these values.

The CEO has overall responsibility for creating, planning, implementing, and integrating the strategic direction of the credit union. This includes responsibility for all departments, functions and processes of the organization. The CEO makes certain that the organization’s leadership maintains constant awareness of both the external and internal competitive landscape, opportunities for expansion, customers and markets, as well as new industry developments and standards. The CEO possesses strategic leadership, operational oversight, financial management and board collaboration.

The CEO serves at the discretion of our Board of Directors yet is delegated full responsibility and general control over the administration and operation of the business of the credit union.
