CUAid Activated for Hurricane Victims The National Credit Union Foundation (the Foundation) has activated CUAid for Hurricane Helene victims. While CUAid is always open for donations, right now, our friends in the southeast portion of the U.S. need our support. Fraud Alert in Fargo The City of Fargo Police Department is warning of a trend that involves a group damaging an ATM, then waiting for the financial institution to call technicians to repair the ATM, and then robbing or stealing from the ATM when it is being worked on or fixed. If you notice any damage to an ATM, it may be best to have some sort of security/armored car assist with any technicians as they fix them for the time being. Capital Credit Union Promotes Schmidt Melanie Schmidt was recently promoted to director of human resources at Capital Credit Union. She has also joined the credit union’s Management Team. As director of human resources, Schmidt serves as a resource to credit union managers and employees on all human resource related topics. She is responsible for administering all aspects of the Human Resources Department including benefits administration, employee relations and regulatory compliance. She also guides the credit union’s direction on compensation, performance and budget and assists in special projects. Schmidt has more than 10 years of experience in human resources and has been with Capital Credit Union since September 2021, most recently as a senior human resources specialist. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Resources from Dickinson State University. Schmidt and her husband live in Bismarck with their children.
