New requirements for GAC attendees; a new branch for Voyage FCU in Sioux Falls; some exciting career opportunities for CU professionals; and more! 
New Requirements for GAC Attendees
Be sure to refer back to the DakCU GAC “one stop” page frequently for the latest on mask and vaccine requirements for indoor venues, including the Convention Center where the GAC will be held. The situation is fluid and we are paying close attention. As of now, anyone over age 12 must be fully vaccinated by February 15, 2022.
 
CUNA has agreed to remove any cancelation deadlines on registrations; however, the hotel deadline to cancel is January 31st.  If you are in the DakCU hotel block and want to cancel, please reach out to Debbie Kruckenberg at dkruckenberg@dakcu.org for assistance.
 
Voyage FCU Announces New Branch Location
Voyage Federal Credit Union has announced plans to build a branch at the former Gage Brothers site off I-29 and 12th Street in Sioux Falls. Voyage FCU closed on the land at the end of December, with plans to start construction as soon as the construction industry allows. With the opening of this new branch location, Voyage FCU will be closing their existing location at 124 S. Kiwanis Avenue.
 
President and CEO, Jeff Schmidt stated, “We are relocating our branch to provide a modern facility with the latest technology our members have asked for. The new location provides access to the west side of Sioux Falls without moving far from our existing facility. We are excited to be a part of the new development and look forward to
serving our expanding membership.”
 
Dakotaland FCU Seeking Mortgage Loan Officer
Dakotaland Federal Credit Union is looking for a highly motivated self-starter to join their mortgage lending team in Brookings, SD. As a Mortgage Loan Officer, you will get support from your supervisors and peers. Dakotaland FCU provides hands-on and thorough training so you can be confident in your ability to serve members and build your lending portfolio. The department uses advanced technology and offers a streamlined mortgage lending process utilizing Encompass software. Dakotaland FCU's mortgage leaders have 20­+ years of credit union experience and they are ready to share their knowledge and grow their team! United Savings CU Seeking New Team Members 
United Savings Credit Union currently has openings for full-time Member Services Representatives at their Main Office and Dilworth Office, as well as a Financial Services Representative for their Amber Valley office. These positions require highly motivated, detail-oriented individuals with a passion for helping people. Banking or lending experience preferred, but not required. Wages based on experience. Credit Unions United Chapter Meeting
The Credit Unions United Chapter has scheduled their next meeting for Tuesday, January 11 at Sleep Inn – 2400 10th St SW – Minot ND. Central Chapter Meeting Scheduled
The Central Chapter has scheduled their next meeting for Tuesday, January 18 at Firepit Pizzeria – 460 Dakota Avenue South – Huron, SD. Meet at 6:00 p.m. for Social, followed by supper and meeting. Program: Basic Medical Knowledge for Everyone presented by Ashley Kingdon Reese with Independent Health Solutions. Maurie C. Byrne Chapter Meeting Planned
The Maurie C. Byrne Chapter has scheduled their first meeting and election of officers for the new year on Tuesday, January 18 at Hilton Garden Inn – 4301 James Ray Drive – Grand Forks, ND. Meet at 6:00 p.m. for social, with dinner, meeting and election to follow. Jeff Olson, President/CEO of Dakota Credit Union Association will be the guest speaker. Dakota’s Sister Society Schedules January Meeting
The Dakota's Sister Society has scheduled their next meeting for January 19th at 2:00 p.m. via ZOOM, with the topic “Predatory Lending And Our Members.” The holidays can be frantic for folks and sometimes bad choices can be made when trying to buy gifts and prepare. How can we save our members? How can we educate them on predatory lending and how can we prevent them from going that route in the future? Dynamic speaker, Kerri Grimes Smith from Self-Help CU in North Carolina will be joining us to speak on this very topic. Everyone is welcome to attend! MonDak Roundtable
Exclusively for credit union managers, CEOs, and volunteer board members from the Dakotas and Montana, our 2022 event will be held at the Flamingo Hotel – with a free optional post-conference event at the LINQ minus5° IceBar at the end of the day Wednesday.
