![]() The Dakota Credit Union Association (DakCU) is thrilled to announce the addition of Annie Elhard as its new Communications & Content Specialist. With a background in social media, event coordination, and credit union understanding, Annie brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to the team. In her new role, Annie will oversee external and internal communications to align with DakCU’s strategic goals. Her responsibilities will include maintaining brand consistency, crafting compelling content, engaging with member credit unions through public relations and social media efforts, and managing The Memo, our biweekly electronic newsletter. Annie’s creative and organizational expertise will be instrumental in ensuring DakCU continues to provide valuable resources and information to our members. Annie joins DakCU after serving as Marketing Manager at Hometown Credit Union, where she successfully boosted the organization’s brand visibility on digital platforms, handled vendor relationships, and promoted the credit union’s services. With a bachelor’s degree in communication studies, her previous roles also include Campus Visit Coordinator at the University of Jamestown, where she orchestrated campus visits and events for prospective students, and Business Office Director at Edgewood Senior Living, where she managed financial operations and employee administration. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Annie has deep roots in both North and South Dakota. She and her husband are fourth-generation farmers on his family’s farm, where they raise their two children, Kolt (7) and Sage (5). Together, they spend their free time outdoors hunting, fishing, and camping. Annie’s connection to the Dakotas and to area communities enriches her ability to resonate with DakCU’s mission and our members. “We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Annie to DakCU,” said VP of Marketing & Communications Lindsey Hefta. “Her passion for community connection, combined with her previous experience in social media and communications, will greatly enhance our efforts to engage with our credit unions and strengthen support for our members.
