Holiday closures; chapter events; Cybersecurity month resources; and more.

DakCU Offices Closed Monday
Dakota Credit Union Association offices will be closed on Monday, October 13, in observation of Columbus Day and Native American Day. Columbus Day is a national holiday which officially celebrates the anniversary of Christopher Columbus' arrival in and the discovery of the American Continent on October 12, 1492. Not all states or regions follow this observance, and instead, they celebrate other events on the day. South Dakota's official holiday on this date is Native American Day, which celebrates the cultures and contributions of the many Native American tribes.

SD Central Chapter Meeting
The South Dakota Central Chapter has scheduled their next meeting for October 21 at 6:00 p.m. Meet at the Dakotaland FCU Conference Room (enter on east side of building) for BSA Training. This meeting will also be available via Zoom! Please indicated on RSVP if you will be attending in person or via Zoom. Kindly RSVP to Lisa Snedeker by October 14.  
 
Red River Chapter of Credit Unions Chapter Meeting
The Red River Chapter of Credit Unions has scheduled their next meeting for October 23 at 5:30 p.m. at The Lights Event Space, 360 32nd Ave W #100, West Fargo, ND. Speaker will be George McDonald, DakCU. Hosts are Town & Country Credit Union, Fargo VA FCU, and Affinity Plus FCU. Spicy Pie Pizza will be available and the cost is $20 per person. Please RSVP to Korianne by October 16.
 
Credit Unions United Chapter Halloween Social
Minot credit unions are invited to join their chapter peers for the annual Credit Unions United Chapter Progressive Halloween Social on Tuesday, October 28 at 6:00 p.m. Prizes will be awarded! RSVP to Jennifer Jerauld by October 21.
 
SE605 Chapter of Credit Unions Scholarship
The SE605 Chapter of Credit Unions is excited to announce a $2,000 scholarship for a credit union employee to use towards continuing their education within the CU Industry. Click here for an informative flyer.
