The Dakota Credit Union (DakCU) Foundation is excited to announce the launch of its 2026 calendar raffle, an initiative designed to support scholarships, professional development opportunities, and expanded financial well-being programs across North and South Dakota.
Kicking off March 30 and running through May 15, the calendar raffle offers credit union members, staff, and supporters a simple and engaging way to give back while having a chance to win. Daily prize drawings will take place throughout the month of June, with winners receiving cash prizes of up to $500. This year’s raffle plays an important role in advancing the Foundation’s mission. Funds raised will directly support scholarships for credit union professionals, grants for continued education and development, and new and expanded financial literacy initiatives aimed at strengthening communities throughout the Dakotas. Recently, the DakCU Foundation Board came together for a strategic planning session focused on refining priorities and ensuring future efforts remain aligned with the Foundation’s core mission and values. The calendar raffle reflects that renewed focus - supporting meaningful programs that make a lasting impact for credit unions and the members they serve. Dakota credit unions will have the opportunity to participate by selling raffle tickets within their communities. Due to state gaming regulations, North Dakota and South Dakota tickets will be managed separately, with drawings held accordingly. Packets were mailed this week to CEOs, containing a marketing toolkit, raffle tickets, and additional details to support your efforts, and should arrive before next Monday. Promotional flyers are also available to download and print for your branches: North Dakota flyer and South Dakota flyer. As the Foundation continues to evolve its fundraising approach, the calendar raffle replaces previous Summit-based fundraising efforts, including the cash stash and vacation sweepstakes. This shift allows for broader participation and greater impact. We encourage credit unions to get involved, support the effort, and help spread the word. Every ticket sold contributes to building stronger credit unions and stronger communities across the Dakotas. If you have any questions or need additional resources, please contact Annie Elhard.
