Established in 2001 following the passage of the Credit Union Membership Access Act, Credit Union House has served as both a world-class event space and a welcoming “home away from home” for credit union advocates visiting the nation’s capital. Now, more than two decades later, Credit Union House is undergoing an exciting modernization project designed to transform the facility into a powerful, multi-dimensional advocacy tool. Updates will include expanded space for growing groups of credit union advocates, upgraded technology to meet modern event expectations, and operational improvements for greater efficiency and sustainability. Last week, a few Dakota credit union advocates had the unique opportunity to be part of history, lending a hand during the demolition phase in D.C. Their involvement was a symbolic reminder that the same cooperative spirit that built Credit Union House continues to drive its future. When completed, the revitalized Credit Union House will remain at the epicenter of credit union advocacy, showcasing the strength, innovation, and collective power of the credit union movement.
