Last Chance to Crash the GAC!

​Apply by December 1 to join emerging leaders from across the country in Washington, DC. Receive FREE conference registration and a scholarship from DakCU. 

Each year, The Cooperative Trust connects a group of young credit union professionals and hosts a space for them to deepen their connection to the credit union mission during the Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC). As a group, those selected experience unique sessions and activities all designed to enhance cooperation and collaboration within the credit union movement, in addition to attending the main events on the GAC “Big Stage.”

“The best way to ensure the continued success of our movement is to capture the attention, dedication, and enthusiasm of future leaders,” stated DakCU President/CEO, Jeff Olson. “The Crasher program does just that, and also provides a way for young credit union professionals to expand their industry network – making connections, gaining confidence and insight that can benefit them for years to come.”

The GAC is our opportunity to highlight the meaningful work credit unions are doing to improve the financial well-being of their members and communities. If you are building a career in the industry, we strongly encourage you to apply as a GAC Crasher!

Details for applicants:

• Crash the GAC takes place March 1 to March 6.
• Applicants must submit a 60-second video.
• Selected Crashers receive free conference registration.
• Crashers are responsible for paying for hotel, transportation, and some food.
  
• DakCU will provide a $1,000 scholarship to each Dakota Crasher.
• One Crasher will be selected per state unless a state does not have a Crash application. In that case, additional applicants may be selected based on state population size and diversity of the group.

If selected as a GAC Crasher, you will:

• Hear from world-class keynote speakers.
• Participate in “Hike the Hill” meetings with your state group and DakCU leaders to meet with lawmakers, giving a voice to the “credit union difference.”
• Discover the latest offerings in the industry's largest exhibit hall and collect some fabulous giveaways!
• Network and learn from peers and thought leaders in credit unions, politics, and business.
• Experience Washington, D.C. in a unique environment.
