Always focused on advancing and enhancing the credit union movement, the Dakota Credit Union Association’s Board of Directors held an in-person meeting on Tuesday, May 14, at the Grand Falls Casino & Golf Resort, Summit headquarters! Because most meetings are held virtually, this is a rare opportunity for board members to sit next to each other to conduct business that supports the Dakota credit union movement. Items on the Association Board’s agenda included an update on the latest regulatory and legislative developments that affect Dakotas’ credit unions. A discussion was held to form a bylaw review committee.
The Dakota Credit Union Foundation also held an in-person luncheon meeting on May 14. Items on their order of business included a progress update on the Vacation Sweepstakes fundraiser and ideas for improving next year; review of the financial reports; review of available grants & scholarships and voting on two applications, approval of a new “year at a glance” calendar for Foundation Board meetings; and continued support and coordination of fundraising for Dakota’s three CMN Hospitals.
