Since launching the iLead@11 DakCU Emerging Leader Program in 2022, DakCU has helped more than 25 Dakota credit union leaders complete the program and strengthen their leadership skills.
Designed specifically for emerging leaders in the credit union industry, iLead@11 provides participants with practical leadership development they can apply immediately, whether they are preparing for their next leadership opportunity, stepping into a new role, or looking to become a stronger leader within their credit union. And thanks to the continued support of the Dakota Credit Union Foundation and DakCU’s partnership with Alloya Corporate Credit Union, scholarships and grants are available year-round to help cover up to 50% of program tuition. Unlike a traditional leadership program with set cohort dates, iLead@11 offers ongoing enrollment and flexible start dates. Participants can begin when the timing is right for them and work through the program at their own pace. The program is delivered virtually through Zoom and includes three comprehensive sessions focused on the core areas every effective leader needs:
An emerging leader can look different at every credit union. Maybe you have a long-time employee who has recently stepped into a supervisory or management role and needs additional leadership skills. Perhaps you have a newer employee whose leadership potential is already evident. Or maybe you are an individual who wants to intentionally develop your leadership skills and prepare for what comes next. iLead@11 is designed to meet leaders where they are and help them grow from there.
