Aspire Credit Union is proud to have supported Prairie Grit Adaptive Sports and Therapy programs throughout the summer. To wrap up this partnership, they were thrilled to present all the donated items including $888.75 in financial contributions from their generous members. Aspire Credit Union’s employees also contributed $500 worth of essential items through their Aspire to More Fund, and as a company they provided a $1,000 financial gift to further support Prairie Grit’s mission. “It’s truly amazing to see how the members of Aspire support our nonprofit partners in the community,” shared Kevin Vigested, CEO of Aspire Credit Union. "The credit union's mission of 'people helping people' shines through when nonprofits are doing outstanding work." Over the past several months, Aspire Credit Union and its members have actively contributed to Prairie Grit's efforts. In June, they focused on supporting their Feeding Therapy program. Prairie Grit's licensed professionals help individuals, especially children, overcome feeding difficulties through group therapy sessions. Donations included items such as pudding, ranch dressing, ketchup, teething crackers, Cheerios, oatmeal, and individually packaged mashed potatoes or mac and cheese cups. In July, they turned attention to Prairie Grit’s Occupational Therapy program. Donations included crayons, bubbles, pipe cleaners, sidewalk chalk, washable markers, toothbrushes, pencils, construction paper, and more—items that assist in their hands-on therapy sessions.
August was dedicated to supporting Prairie Grit’s Speech Therapy program. Their therapists use evidence-based methods and personalized interventions to improve children's speech clarity, language comprehension, and social communication skills. Aspire Credit Union encouraged members to follow Prairie Grit’s wish list, which included developmental games, toys, Clorox wipes, AA and AAA batteries, and baby wipes. Prairie Grit, an extraordinary nonprofit in our community, is dedicated to improving the lives of youth and adults with physical and developmental disabilities. Since its founding in 2016, this organization has provided life-changing opportunities for individuals in and around the Minot area through its innovative Adaptive Sports and therapy programs. Aspire Credit Union has served the Minot area communities since 1937. A non-profit, member-owned financial institution, Aspire Credit Union strives to provide the best service, products, and rates possible to meet its members’ needs. Aspire Credit Union is a community-chartered credit union serving Bottineau, McHenry, McLean, Mountrail, Renville, and Ward Counties. Federally insured by NCUA. Comments are closed.
