April is Youth Month!

“Unleash the Power of Savings at your CU” is the theme this year as we plant the seeds of financial well-being.  

The theme for Credit Union Youth Month in April is Unleash the Power of Saving at Your Credit Union ™.
​Do this, and help plant the seeds of financial well-being! Credit unions are always striving to reach younger and future members, and during Youth Month, we have an opportunity to help teach and encourage kids to develop good financial habits.  
 
If you have been wondering what your credit union can do to empower kids to save for their future, Youth Month activities are a great way to start! This celebration is a time to engage kids across the Dakotas and within your community to help them learn that saving, no matter how small the amount, can help them achieve their dreams.
 
Looking for ideas to celebrate this year? How about:

• Coloring or writing contests and giveaways
• Special incentives and promotions for opening a new account, or adding to an account  
• Financial literacy workshops for young members 
• Special savings match programs for youth accounts  
• Branch parties with Pee Wee Young Savers Club promotional items
