![]() One of the highlights of the Awards Banquet during the Annual Meeting & Summit, held earlier this month, was the Dakota Credit Union Foundation’s Cash Stash Sweepstakes prize drawing! Foundation Board Chair, April Tompkins, had the honor of announcing the winners from the random drawing of all entries using the Wheel of Names platform. Each $20 donation received one chance on the wheel; each $100 donation received six chances. The “spins” were performed for the live audience of more than 200 guests at the Delta Hotel. In total, six cash prizes were awarded, including four $500 prizes, one $1,000 prize, and one $2,000 grand prize. Here are this year’s lucky winners:
A special congratulations goes out to April Tompkins, who generously chose to donate her $2,000 grand prize back to the Foundation, exemplifying the true credit union spirit of “people helping people.” Her thoughtful gift will go a long way in supporting our mission and expanding our impact in local communities. This year, the Vacation Sweepstakes raised $5,011 in entries/donations, and an additional $1,850 for the prize funding from direct donations from credit unions and CEOs. On behalf of the Foundation Board, a sincere THANK YOU to everyone who participated in this exciting fundraiser. All proceeds will support sponsorships of financial education events, financial literacy classroom programs; scholarships to Dakota credit union staff for professional development education and certification programs; and our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
