And the Winner Is…..

Foundation announces the winner of the Vacation Sweepstakes! Plus, a sincere “thank you” to everyone who participated in this important fundraiser. 

One of the highlights of the Awards Banquet during the DakCU Summit last week was the Dakota Credit Union Foundation’s Vacation Sweepstakes prize drawing! Kat Perkins, finalist on “The Voice” and Summit closing keynote, acted as co-emcee for the event. She also had the honor of announcing the winner from a random drawing of all entries using the Wheel of Names platform. Each $25 donation received one chance on the wheel; each $100 donation received five chances. The “spin” was performed for the live audience of more than 250 guests at the Delta Marriott in Fargo.  

We are thrilled to announce that Keith Mantz, Chief Retail Officer at Capital Credit Union, was the winner of the grand prize: a $5,000 voucher for a vacation of his choice through Curated Travel Company in Mandan, ND.

This was the first-ever Foundation Vacation Sweepstakes, and we are happy to report it was very successful, raising $10,750 in entries/donations, and an additional $2,455 for the prize funding from direct donations from credit unions, CEOs, and other supporters of the Foundation.

All proceeds will support sponsorships of financial education events, financial literacy classroom programs; scholarships to Dakota credit union staff for professional development education and certification programs; and our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
