All-New Advocacy 101 Workshop
Get ready to supercharge your advocacy game at our all-new Advocacy 101 Workshop: Creating Credit Union Champions, happening Tuesday, August 12, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Delta Hotel in Fargo! This free session, prior to the optional (and also free) Professionals Forum, is designed to empower credit union leaders, staff, and board members with the tools and confidence to become powerful voices for the credit union movement.

With the always-looming federal threats to the credit union tax exemption, there’s never been a more critical time to turn support into action. This workshop delivers a practical and engaging dive into the issues at stake, messaging strategies that resonate, and real-world tactics you can take back and use immediately. With special guest, Austin DeBey Director of Advocacy for the American Association of Credit Union Leagues, you can expect interactive sessions and a renewed sense of purpose as you become a credit union champion.

This short 2-hour workshop is perfect for Dakota credit union leaders, staff, and volunteer board members who want to better understand the issues facing our industry and how to take action. Whether you're new to advocacy or looking to sharpen your messaging, this session will equip you with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to become a proactive voice for the credit union movement and its all-important tax-exempt status.

DakCU Professionals Forum
Following the morning workshop, the DakCU Professionals Forum will officially begin at 12:30 p.m. (CT). This free event is a dues-supported benefit for DakCU member credit unions and brings together professionals from across North and South Dakota for an afternoon of networking, idea-sharing, and collaborative conversation.

Unlike traditional conferences, the Professionals Forum is an attendee-driven event. All credit union employees are welcome no matter what their title or department. The only requirement is a willingness to ask questions, engage with peers, and contribute to meaningful discussions.

The forum concludes around 5:30 p.m., followed by a lively social hour at the Delta Hotel, generously sponsored by Millennium Corporate. Attendees can enjoy food, drinks, and fun activities while building stronger connections with peers from across the region.
