That is why the American Association of Credit Union Leagues (AACUL) has launched a new Cybersecurity Awareness Toolkit, a collection of ready-to-use, fully customizable resources designed to help you educate members, support staff, and respond to emerging digital threats.
 
Through your Dakota Credit Union Association's (DakCU) involvement with AACUL, your association is able to participate in initiatives that bring valuable resources directly to you. By working together, Leagues across the country develop and deliver high-quality tools that you can put to work without having to build them from the ground up.
 
The Cybersecurity Awareness Toolkit is available at no cost and can be customized to fit each credit union's brand, community, and member needs. Instead of starting with a blank page when a new scam emerges or Cybersecurity Awareness Month arrives, credit unions have a collection of professional resources ready to adapt and share.
 
The toolkit includes member-facing newsletter, blog, website, and email content, along with social media graphics and captions, branch and lobby posters, scam and red-flag reference sheets, and a customizable press release template. It also features a ready-to-deploy "Fraud Alert in a Box," providing you with alert notices, graphics, staff talking points, and member handouts when timely communication is needed.
 
You can also take advantage of the included Cybersecurity Awareness Month campaign calendar, which provides four weeks of themed content focused on practical topics that matter to members. The campaign helps educate your members on recognizing scams, protecting accounts, preventing identity theft, and shopping online safely.
 
Cybersecurity can feel complicated, but member education does not have to be. This toolkit gives you the ability to communicate important cybersecurity information in clear, practical ways while still making the message your own brand.
