We “teased” earlier this year that our 2023 Summit was shaping up to be one of our best ever – and we weren’t just “hyping” our annual event! Today, DakCU is thrilled to announce our highly anticipated Summit Keynote Speakers: Kat Perkins and Pete Smith!

Nearly everyone remembers when North Dakota’s “small town girl” Kat Perkins appeared on NBC’s The Voice and advanced to the show’s finals during Season 6. Finishing in 4th place, she has continued to inspire Dakotans with five albums, including two singles that topped the charts on iTunes. Not only does she continue to tour full-time, she is the founder of her own non-profit and runs a music camp in the Badlands of North Dakota. Music and education are her passion, and now, she is ready to bring her message to our credit union audience! As a nationally recognized motivational speaker, Kat will talk about being “Fearless” and inspiring others by taking chances in life. She will also act as emcee at our elegant Awards Banquet at the close of our two-day event. Prepare to be amazed!

Kat has prepared an introductory video exclusively for our event, which you can view here:

Then, international speaker, motivational and self-improvement guru Pete Smith, President of SmithImpact, will be focusing on practical applications that credit union professionals can use to improve their leadership and motivational skills. As Pete says, “The Summit provides you an opportunity get recharged, refocused, remotivated! To laugh, learn and connect with colleagues. The work you do matters, and the Summit provides the tools to go out and matter more!”

Association staff has been impressed with Pete’s knowledge and message for credit unions, and we know you will be too! Check out this video preview:

As a reminder, Early Bird pricing of just $359 ends soon, so plan now to join us on May 9 – 10 at Delta Hotels by Marriott in Fargo, ND. We guarantee you will leave feeling even more energized and excited about the credit union movement, and proud to be a part of the “Dakota fabric” of interwoven credit unions!
